About This Item

MOST COLLAPSIBLE COLANDERS ON AMAZON FEEL LIKE CHEAP CAMPING GEAR. THIS ONE DOESN'T. - The GIR collapsible colander for kitchen use is built from pharmaceutical-grade, platinum-cured silicone with an embedded stainless steel rim. It won't fold, wobble, or buckle while you're pouring boiling pasta water through it. The confidence of a stainless steel colander. The convenience of silicone. Stores flat to under 2 inches when you're done.
YOUR PLASTIC STRAINER IS SHEDDING MICROPLASTICS INTO YOUR FOOD EVERY TIME YOU USE IT. - Many plastic colanders shed microplastics when exposed to boiling water. The GIR collapsible silicone colander uses 100% pharmaceutical-grade, platinum-cured silicone that won't leach odors, flavors, or toxins into your food, even at temperatures up to 425F. BPA-free, BPS-free, microplastic-free. Safe for your family.
MOST COLLAPSIBLE STRAINERS ARE WOBBLY. GIR'S EMBEDDED STEEL RIM IS THE SECRET SAUCE. - Most collapsible silicone tools fold under pressure. The embedded steel rim keeps the handles rigid and the base level so this collapsible strainer performs like a real colander, not a space-saving compromise. Built to be a workhorse, not just a space-saver.
ONE COLANDER STRAINER. FOUR JOBS. RINSE, DRAIN, STEAM, AND PROTECT. - Heat-resistant to 425F means it doubles as a stovetop steamer basket for vegetables and dumplings, a splatter shield, and a heavy-duty trivet. Rinse pasta, fruit, vegetables and use as a rice strainer in one piece of kit. Fewer tools, fewer dishes, less clutter.
WIRE MESH STRAINERS TRAP FOOD IN EVERY CORNER. THIS KITCHEN COLANDER RINSES CLEAN IN SECONDS. - Unlike mesh strainers that trap food particles in every gap, the smooth platinum-cured silicone surface of this kitchen colander rinses clean in seconds. No scrubbing, no soaking. Top-rack dishwasher safe.
