Belleek Classic Shamrock Cake Stand | 10in Parian China | Made in

About This Item

• Three Leaves One Story: Legend holds that Saint Patrick held up a three-leafed shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to those he met across Ireland, and that green leaf has stood for the country since. Belleek paints that shamrock trailing across the rim of this stand in a vine, three leaves at a time, the way it grows low in an Irish field.
• Raised on a Pedestal: Parian china gives this stand a soft ivory finish and a lightness that ordinary stoneware cannot match, despite the weight a cake stand needs to carry. It measures 10 inches across and 3.5 inches tall, and like every Belleek piece it passes through sixteen pairs of hands, with any flawed piece destroyed rather than sold.
• Basketweave Base Painted Rim: The Shamrock collection sets a woven basket pattern into the pedestal base, pressed into the china before firing, while the top stays smooth for cakes and sandwiches. A trail of hand painted shamrocks runs around the rim's raised edge in flashes of green. Hand wash only, not dishwasher or microwave safe.
• Brought Out for Guests: Every Belleek piece arrives in a branded gift box, ready to hand over without extra wrapping. Set this stand out with a sponge cake or a plate of sandwiches when family gathers around the table. It suits a St. Patrick's Day spread especially well, when a little green on the table says enough on its own.
• Stamped at the Source: Stamped at the source on the banks of the River Erne in County Fermanagh since 1857, every Belleek piece carries a backstamp on its base confirming origin and year, a standard upheld without exception. This cake stand completes the wider Shamrock tableware range, alongside cups, saucers and serving plates in the same pattern.
